More than 800 types of tests are performed in the Blood Bank, Chemistry, Cytology, Hematology, Immunology, Microbiology, Surgical Pathology, and Toxicology departments. This diverse testing capability is a reason we perform more tests in-house than other area hospitals—80% is performed on-site. Very specialized tests are sent to the Mayo Clinic as part of our membership in the Mayo Clinic Mid-Atlantic Community Laboratory Network.
Our Reference Laboratory program serves the needs of area physicians. It is complemented by our Outpatient Laboratory program for acquiring samples. We also provide a Corporate Drug Testing program for the health of your company.
