Treatments
Treating the whole person—as well as the person's cancer—is part of our mission.
The Oncology Program at Virginia Hospital Center exists to provide
effective, quality and compassionate care. Striving to complement
medical care with education and information about recognized and
cutting-edge treatment options, current status of research as well as
nutrition and psychosocial counseling and support groups fulfills the
range of care for cancer survivors and caregivers.
Acupuncture, meditation and guided imagery, massage therapy, yoga
and spiritual/pastoral counseling are some of the non-allopathic
methods. Each service and provider has been carefully selected based on
their professional qualifications, their appropriateness for cancer
survivors and caregivers, as well as their support of an integrative
model of oncology care.
